This year’s theme is “Seduction: The Art of Persuasion in the Medieval World.” We encourage proposals that engage with the rhetoric and representation of seduction and persuasion in all aspects of medieval discourse: literature, art, history, and culture; papers from all disciplines are welcome. Preference is given to submissions closely related to the conference theme, but abstracts on any aspect of medieval studies (interpreted broadly in geographic/cultural/temporal terms) are welcome. See the Call for Papers page for more information:
Barbara H. Rosenwein, Professor of History at Loyola University Chicago, is the keynote speaker. Papers are considered for publication in Essays in Medieval Studies, the peer-reveiewed proceedings of the IMA; this is a good venue for graduate students and young scholars to present and publish their work.
Deadline extended to January 6, 2014
