Research Positions at the University of Hamburg

We are offering a fixed-term (i.e. until June 2015) position of research associate (2/3-time) in the field of Greek studies (focusing on working with Greek manuscripts, particularly palimpsests) within Special Research Area 950 “Manuscript Cultures in Asia, Africa and Europe“. A new, fully-funded doctoral position is available in the Theology department at VU University, Amsterdam, under the supervision of Prof. Paul van Geest and Dr. Hagit Amirav. Convergence of the Mediterranean
Salerno, September 6-9, 2011

An international conference organized by the Department of Humanities of the Eastern Mediterranean University & Department of Historical and Social Sciences of the University of Salerno & UCSC Center for Mediterranean Studies, University of California Santa Cruz & Department of the History of Art “TransMediterraneanStudies”, Bern University. The conference aims to be a platform of thought-provoking papers which explore the role of commerce, the function and space of exchange and the relevance of shipping routes across the ‘Mediterranean worlds’during different historical periods.
