1.OPPORTUNITIES

The Cornell Program in Medieval Studies invites applications for a
tenure-track position beginning fall 2011. A PhD in a relevant field
is required. We seek a scholar with a strong commitment to research
and teaching in Medieval Latin, and with a secondary interest in any
aspect of Medieval Studies or related fields. Competence in teaching
the skills relevant to reading manuscripts is also highly desirable.
Exceptional candidates in all areas will be given serious
consideration. Preference will be given to junior scholars, but more
advanced candidates may be considered; salary and rank are
commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful
candidate will, in addition to being a member of the Graduate Field
of Medieval Studies, join the department appropriate to his or her
